"I Love to Love You Baby"

So last night, Bushwick resident Em Tee live-tweeted her Bollywood movie watching, continually pairing images on the screen with snappy summaries of the plot at hand.

Em Tee knows these tropes well–first hand in fact. In a film about to be released, “Isha: A Tell All Tale,” Em Tee, (full name: Meenakshi Thirukode) plays a young South Asian woman trying to find a place in the seemingly hostile New York art scene. Tee, who wrote and directed the film, deployed the plot devices and narrative arc of an Indian soap opera for “Isha.” Check the preview:

You can see why Em Tee live tweeting a movie could entertaining. And indeed it was! Some of Em Tee’s screenshot/Tweets revealed Bollywood plot devices. Others echoed the universal yearnings of the heart, and/or the achings of the loin. And others were just worth contemplating for their bizarre bad-ass selves:
