Today we enjoyed some Mexican Street Corn*, in the rain, from a cart on Knickerbocker and Starr. A steaming cob of corn is unwrapped from the husk, pushed onto a stick, gently slathered with mayonnaise, rolled around and dusted with parmesan cheese and then sprinkled judiciously with hot chili pepper…

Must be tried to be enjoyed. Better than you can imagine it tasting!  Even at $2 each (the gringo price), a delicious snack.

*Also called elotes, we’ve since learned.
